Updates

Hi girls thought I would give an update about the going ons around here. Hubby is doing fine after his surgery. He is due for his checkup on Thursday. But everything seems to be healing nicely and he is doing most anything he wants without any problems.

I have been working slowly but steadily on my new pond. I am down to the smaller rocks and some mortar mix. Then it will be on to planting around and in it.

Since last Thursday night YDD, her DH, and their son have been here. Her DH's(Jase) grandmother has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This grandmother raised him for the most part. He got emergency leave to come home and see her since it had been 10 months since he had been home. We are still waiting to see if it has spread or if they will be able to operate. Should know Thursday. They will be going back home tomorrow.

Jamie redecorated her bathroom this past weekend, new flooring, new sink and base, new toliet, new mirror over the sink, new light fixture, new med cabinet, and new paint on the ceiling and walls. Her next project is to finish doing the kitchen, new flooring, new counter tops, painting the walls and cabinets, new ceiling fans, and new sink. The appliances are all under 3 years old. So it has been busy around here in the last week, but we are all doing fine. Thanks to those of you who have asked. And a Big Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts.

Ced Feb 9th- 15th

I know I am late again this week. This past week was something else. Sick, a birthday, DH's surgery, and Valentines. Maybe I will get more done this week and be on time with my post. But I doubt it. Hubby had his gallbladder taken out last Friday. He is doing fine, but, he is home full time for at least this week and maybe next week also.

Guess I was not getting the flu. I felt fine on Tuesday.

I am still working on the edging stones on the pond.

Man they sure were good. Must try them with another flavor of cake.

Finished these up at home.

CED Feb 2nd - 8th

Yes I know I am late, late, late this week. Lots of things going on. First I was in bed all day Monday sick. Then Tuesday DH had a doctors appointment and we found out they are going to take his gallbladder out on Friday. So I am running a little behind with getting pictures of the journal and art work. But better late than never I guess. So here it is.

CED Jan 26th-Feb1st

Again my "paper" doll is made of a recycled aluminum can.

The Zentangles above are done in the Moleskin journal that my YDD gave me. I still love it. The frog and butterfly are done with Sharpies on paper for acrylic paint. The butterfly has glitter not sure if you can see it in the picture. It is going to hang in Banna's room. This is part of one of the shelves that I rearranged. For those of you that have been reading my blog for the long haul you might remember me doing a drawing of the nail that is in the cup. It was one of the silly things that my mother gave me when Daddy died. The cup was also his. The dragon picture is a piece of my art. It is carved into foam board insulation and then painted with craft paints. There is potpourri and 2 books that I like also in the picture.
